when: early morning December 21st 2010 | 1:33am – 5:01am EST
where: visible from North America, Greenland and Iceland – Western Europe will see the beginning stages of the eclipse before moonset – western Asia will get the later stages after moonrise

Get some sleep the night of December 19-20 because you SHOULD struggle up to glimpse the full lunar eclipse (weather permitting) the night of December 20-21. The window of opportunity for seeing the eclipse is nearly 3.5 hours, pretty good chance to see it.

And how cool is it that the Winter Solstice is 6:38pm EST the same day?
Seems like a good time to dance around a flame.
OK, just wake up and see the eclipse. Doesn’t happen all that often…

There is one remaining broadcast of KNEE DEEP on WHYY 12.3 this April.
Sunday April 25th at 1pm
Wallow in the wonders of the Wissahickon, the charming humanity of the Senior Environment Corps and get goosed into action by knowledge of the on-going contamination of our precious watersheds. It’s our world, the only one. (Oh, that we know of…)
WHYY aired KNEE DEEP on the following schedule but they don’t typically inform us. And when I searched on their site earlier this month for broadcasts, I did not find these air dates. I understand the new buzzword is ‘find’, not ‘search’. Right.
Friday April 23rd 10a – 4p – 6p – 9p
Saturday April 24th 2a
Sunday April 25th 1pm
If you are in another market, check your local listings, as KNEE DEEP is often programmed around Earth Day. It’s a good thing.
