90 years of steady, thoughtful and courageous work where it is needed most characterizes the American Friends Service Committee. A video designed to honor that past and encourage support of current and future work was recently edited by Ann Tegnell at Hall Media Productions. AFSC producer Tony Heriza, and directors David Goodman and Nigel Nobel, invested nearly a year in pulling together the diverse components that went into the 20minute piece. Expanding and contracting in post from an hour to a just a few minutes, the piece eventually found itself in the emotional experiences of a handful of folks working across decades for peace, justice and reconciliation.

The video will premiere in early November at the Constitution Center as part of the AFSC annual public gathering. Stay tuned for a full report and clips.

Ann Tegnell and Fran McElroy were just notified that they are recipients of a Philadelphia Independent Film & Video Association subsidy grant for editing their, as yet, unnamed shore doc.boris.jpg

Pictured here is the fabulous and heroic cinematographer Boris Romanenko as he holds Eddie Andress and dad, Ed, steady in his lens.

Boris is returning to Russia to pursue his feature filmmaking interests. We will surely miss him.
